2026 Update

OK - here we are in 2026 (almost the end of June). A few notes since the last update:

  • Guthrie HS Basketball had a significant improvement in 2025-26 over the previous season — yay.

  • Cowboy Football was terrible (again) and a new coaching staff and numerous transfers have come in since the end of the season.

  • I have added a bird feeder to the backyard - there are a couple of good pics under Images.

As of this time I am not planning any county search trips (or other trips this summer - that could change later in the year but that is very much up in the air. Basically I am paying off the last 3-4 trips, some home repairs, and a few other things this summer which will ultimately make possible travel easier in the future.

I did get a new E-Bike - an Aventon Level 3 - last summer. I have enjoyed in a great deal when the weather is cooperative - I have not really gone far from home, but just tootling around the neighborhood and nearby hoods has been fun.

Perhaps this year I will finally get on with being a bit more proactive here, but we will see.
